Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does my dog need for his/her stay?

You need to bring dog food, treats only if your dog has a food allergy, medication if needed and pill pockets/peanut butter/cheese for the medication. Please be sure you pack enough food for their stay plus an extra day or two in case of any issues with you returning home. Please be sure to have your dog on a leash when you arrive. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES

  • Should I bring a bed & his/her toys?

No, we do not allow anything from the outside to be brought from home. We provide 2 toys and 1 safe chew bone for each dog. We will ask you when you drop off to view the toys we have selected. If it is a toy they can’t have please let us know and we will take it away. We provide blankets for your dog to sleep on, food dish (slow feeder upon request) and water dishes.

  • How much food should I bring?

Please bring enough food for your dog’s stay plus 1 or 2 extra days. The food needs to be in a container that will fit a 12X12 cubby. Any large containers will be sent home as we have no where to store them. To save on waste we prefer you do not pack food in an individual bags. We have measuring cups to measure food out per your request.

  • What is required for my dog to stay?

Your dog should have rabies, bordetella, fecal test clear within the last 11 months prior to stay, negative heartworm test and proof of flea/heartworm prevention. All of these should be listed on your invoice from your last vet visit.

Your dog will not be accepted if they do not have a current bordetella or rabies vaccination. If your dog does not have a current fecal, they will not be allowed to group play and there is an extra $10 per day charge for being let out alone.

  • How often will my dog be out of his/her kennel?

Tired dogs are quiet & happy dogs. We have them out as much as possible playing. There are several outdoor areas where they can play and one inside area for bad weather days. Depending on weather and if your dog is allowed to group play they are not in their houses (aka kennels) very often, For dogs who aren’t able to play with others they are never in their houses more then 3 hours at one time but that is very rare they would have to go that long without being let out.

  • My dog is not able to group play. Is that a problem?

Not at all. If your dog is unable or you aren’t comfortable with them participating in group play that is ok. When completing your reservation in the portal, please mark they are out alone. For dogs who can’t group play we will often take them for walks on our wooded trails or we will play with them outside or inside.

  • Why do have a 2 day minimum charge? I just need my dog to stay one night

We are trying to stay as economical as possible but we do have costs associated with housing your furkid. If we charged by the night vs. the day we would not be able to afford to stay open. Since we provide everything for your dog (minus food) plus sanitize all bedding, houses (aka kennels), toys, water bowl, food bowl, etc. the cost for that is much greater then what we charge for one day.

Our day starts at 6:30pm. Any drop off prior to 6:30pm is a day charge, pick up day is always a day charge.

If all you need is one night we recommend dropping of earlier in the day so your dog gets two days and one night with us & you get value for your money.

  • My dog has medication. Do you charge extra?

No we don’t. Please just be sure to note in the portal they have medication and directions for the medication. We are happy to provide medication to your furkid.

If is/will be taking trazadone please call to discuss before booking.

  • My dog is diabetic and requires shots. Do you do this?

I am sorry we do not board diabetic dogs.

  • My dog has seizures and requires medication. Is this something you will do?

Please call and speak to Amy if your dog is on seizure medication. Seizures are often caused by stress and boarding is stressful no matter how much we try to make it not stressful for your furkid.

We do strongly recommend getting an in home sitter but Amy may make an exception.

  • I want to come visit. How do I set that up?

You are welcome to stop by during our open hours which are 8am -11am and 4pm -7pm except holidays. We are closed daily from 11am - 4pm. Please be patient with us when you stop in as we do need to tend to those dogs being dropped off or picked up before showing you the facility. Thank you for understanding.

  • Why are you closed from 11am - 4pm daily? Does that mean the dogs are alone?

We are closed for private one on one training sessions and so we can focus on our fur guests. We want our head trainer to be able to stay focused on the dogs she is working with and we want to make sure our fur guests get as much of our attention as possible. We sometimes take them for walks too and this is the perfect time to go explore the 50 acres of wooded trails.

  • What form of payment do you take?

We accept Check, Cash, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Debit and Credit cards.

Please note that there is a 4% service fee added to ALL electronic payments.

  • When is payment due?

We require payment at time of drop off. Additional charges may be due at time of pickup (see rates for reasons).
We do not give refunds if you pick up your dog early. .

  • Why is there an extra charge if my dog isn't fixed?

The main reason is safety. Sometimes dogs who aren’t fixed are picked on by dogs who are or vice versa. In addition to that, we don’t want an accident to happen and unwanted puppies brought into this world. Unfixed dogs may not always be able to group play.

  • Can you explain the extra charge for my dog peeing and pooping in their house?

If your dog pees and poops in their house once, we understand that can just be nerves. However, dogs who do it daily or many times a day will be charged an extra $8 per day for the days this happens. We will not charge you for the days your dog keeps their house clean.

  • Are there any extra charges then the daily boarding rate?

There are extra charges for dogs who can’t group play, who aren’t fixed, who potty in their houses repeatedly, for each bite incident, if the dog has worms and for each holiday.

If you mark your dog as able to play & they cause issues, we will separate them and you will owe at pick up.

First time making a reservation you will need to create a profile.
