Outlet for herding breeds
If your dog is one of the various herding breeds, then you know how busy they like to be. Herding dogs were bred to work, and they love to have a job to do. If they are left to their own devices without any "work" or an outlet for their herding instincts, they often become destructive and engage in problem behaviors. Thankfully, you don't have to live on a sheep farm or cattle ranch to own a herding dog, as there are many different "jobs" that we can teach them.
These jobs might include:
-Agility
-Scent work
-Herding
-Treibball (think jumbo soccer mixed with billiards, where your dog moves all of the balls!)
