AKC S.T.A.R Puppy & Basic Obedience

6 week basic obedience for puppies starting at 8 weeks through 11 months at start of class. *Dogs over a year can attend class but will not earn S.T.A.R Title.

This class is designed to teach basic obedience skills (come, sit, down, stay, leave it, loose leash walking, and other skills). There will not be a free for all play group, this will be structured, safe and fear free training.

Each class is limited to 6 participants. Prepayment to secure your place is required in advance. Your spot will not be held until payment is received. Cost for the class is $320 ($300 cash/check).

Scent Work 101

Scent work is a sport wherein dogs learn to search for and locate specific scents in various elements, which includes interior, exterior, container, vehicle, and buried searches. Dogs "see" the world through their nose, and therefore a large part of their brain is devoted to processing the information they detect through scent. Not only will this sport strengthen the bond between you and your dog, it will provide mental stimulation and an outlet for those breeds that just can't seem to get enough exercise! For dogs that can't compete in high-impact sports, Scent Work is a perfect way to engage their brain in a safe, gentle manner. 

Scent Work 101 is for dogs and handlers with no previous experience in scent work. The goal of this class is to engage with and build your dog's drive to hunt and search, introduce you to foundational skills for scent work competitions, and imprint your dog on the birch scent so that, by the end of the class, your dog is able to conduct very basic interior searches. 

Pre-requisites: Ideally, your dog is capable of a sit-stay while you move 6 feet away from them. Nothing else is required but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and have fun!

The class is a 4 week class, limited to 6 participants. Prepayment to secure your place is required in advance. Your spot will not be held until payment is received. Cost for the class is $230($210 cash/check).

Therapy Dog Certification (CGC certification included)

5 week class focused on skills needed to pass Canine Good Citizen test AND to certifying dog & handler pair as a Therapy dog.

We will test for CGC for those who need to be tested on week 4 and week 5 we will visit a nursing facility.

Each class is limited to 8 participants. Dogs attending class must be free of aggression to people and other dogs.

AKC Trick Dog - Intermediate

AKC Trick Dog is one of AKC's most popular training programs that is fun for both the handler and the dog. In this class you will learn the skills to perform the Intermediate level tricks. On the last day of class, dog and handler will be tested on their ability to perform 10 tricks from the intermediate list of tricks. Successful completion of 10 tricks, provided your dog already has their Novice title, will result in earning the AKC Intermediate Trick Dog title. 

Pre-requisites: Novice Trick Dog title or ability to perform 10 tricks from the novice list

This class is a 6-week class, limited to 6 participants. Prepayment to secure your place is required in advance. Your spot will not be held until payment is received. Cost for the class is $220 ($200 cash/check).

AKC Novice Trick Dog

AKC Trick Dog is one of AKC’s most popular training programs that is fun for both the handler and the dog. In this class you will learn the skills to perform the Novice level tricks. On the last day of class dog and handler will be tested on their ability to perform 10 tricks from the novice list of tricks. Successful completion of 10 tricks will result in earning AKC Novice Trick Dog title.

The class is a 5 week class, limited to 6 participants. Prepayment to secure your place is required in advance. Your spot will not be held until payment is received. Cost for the class is $220 ($200 cash/check).

Intermediate Obedience

This class is designed for those who have already been through basic obedience, AKC S.T.A.R Puppy or similar.

The class is designed to help take basic skills already known and create more reliability, confidence, focus and consistency.

This class is 5 weeks, limited to 6 participants. Prepayment to secure your place is required in advance. Your spot will not be held until payment is received. Cost for the class is $290 ($275 cash/check).

AKC Rally Novice

AKC Rally is a sport that showcases the handler and dog’s ability to work together as a team. Pairs move through a course of about 15 signs, each directing the team to perform an obedience cue or maneuver. Not only does this sport help strengthen your dog’s ability to understand obedience cues and to work under distractions, but it also helps build a stronger bond between you and your dog.

Scent Work 201: Introduction to Interiors

This class is a direct continuation from our Scent Work 101 class. We will work on transitioning from leveraging your dog's sight in their searches to relying more fully on their nose. The class will emphasize searching challenges in the interior element.

Pre-requisites: Scent Work 101.

If you have prior experience with scent work but did not take our Scent Work 101 class, please reach out via our contact form so that we can assess your readiness for this class. 

This is a 4-week class, limited to 6 participants. Prepayment to secure your place is required in advance. Your spot will not be held until payment is received. Cost for the class is $230 ($210 cash/check). If you previously took our Scent Work 101 class, the cost for this class is a discounted rate of $215 ($195 cash/check).

Advanced Obedience

This class is designed for those who have already completed intermediate obedience type class and have mastered the art of loose leash walking and all basic fundamental skills. This class is designed to teach more advance skills in public settings and depending on class participants long line or off leash work may occur.

Class will take place inside, outside and various locations.

This class is 5 weeks, limited to 6 participants. Prepayment to secure your place is required in advance. Your spot will not be held until payment is received. Cost for the class is $320 ($300 cash/check).

Socialization & Distraction Drop In Class

Help your dog become more confident, focused, and well-mannered in the real world!

This class is designed to help dogs learn how to stay calm, focused, and responsive while navigating the sights, sounds, people, dogs, and other distractions they encounter in everyday life.
We will have class in a new location every week. This gives your dog the opportunity to practice important skills in a variety of real-life settings and learn how to focus on you—even when the environment gets exciting!
